How can we achieve Net Zero Carbon in global hotel real estate?

COVID-19 has had a profound impact on the global hospitality sector, which remains uncertain despite green shoots of recovery starting to emerge. Sustainability is front of mind for owners, investors and lenders in the hospitality sector as they review how to respond to the growing demands in the real estate industry for a post-pandemic world.

From a sustainability perspective the hotels and hospitality sector is at a watershed moment and if timed right transitioning towards Net Zero Carbon should help to maintain real estate values or enhance value but “doing nothing” could result in a stranded asset in a complex future.
